Professor Ip was born in Hong Kong, had his primary and secondary education in Hong Kong and completed his undergraduate and postgraduate studies in the US. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the State University of New York, Master of Business Administration from the Indiana University and Doctor of Philosophy from the University of South Carolina.
出生于香港，叶耀强教授在香港完成小学和中学教育，他的本科和硕博教育在美国完成。他拥有纽约州立大学商业管理学士学位，印第安纳大学商业管理硕士学位和南卡罗莱纳大学哲学博士学位。
Professor Ip has over 34 years of university education experience. He has taught at the Hong Kong Baptist College, Chinese University of Hong Kong, University of South Carolina (USA), Clemson University (USA), University of Southern Queensland (Australia) and Griffith University (Australia) before joining the Open University of Hong Kong.
叶耀强教授有超过34年的大学教育经历。在加入香港公开大学之前，他曾在香港浸会大学、香港中文大学、美国南卡罗莱纳大学、美国克莱姆森大学、澳大利亚南昆士兰大学和澳大利亚格里菲斯大学执教。
